I realized during and post session that Adria had looks reminiscent of Mariah Carey, Jessica Biel, and Diane Lane. To sum it up, she’s gorgeous and really gave great face during our session!

Happened upon Glo de Vie MedSpa one night on Facebook. Got to love Facebook. I approached Glo de Vie to talk about some cross promotional ideas for our two business.

It was an easy sell to Adria(Glo de Vie manager) who was right on board for the glam aspect of photography that I do Vintage Vixens.

Girl has it going on and I knew she totally would!

Gina came my way via Facebook awhile back through a friend and periodically would stop in and ask questions about having a Vintage Vixens session with me. When we finally friended one another on Facebook, I couldn’t help but, ask when she was going to have a session with me! Empirically speaking, she’s very attractive. In front of the lens, I think we can all agree, she’s a stunner!!

I knew when I saw her that she could pull off the pin-up look with grace. And it was just an obvious for me when I saw her that I’d stick her in my hutch. Crazy, I know.

Little did I know until editing time that I’d end up with my new poster child for my sister spin-off company of Swank, Vintage Vixens. Site is coming really soon.

Adorned with a fascinator (compliments of Etsy vendor, Satanica), a 1920′s period style hair accessory, her looks were impeccable.

I met Jenni at the January Forever Bridal Show. The thing that struck me funny in hindsight was the fact that it was her Mom’s eyes who were caught by the Vintage Vixen display I had. Jenni was in full steam ahead bride mode jumping right on over to my table of wedding albums. It wasn’t until Jenni’s Mom pointed out the Vintage Vixen’s did she take notice and thought that this is something she could do for her fiance. With Mom’s additional encouragement ( cool Mom! ) Jenni decide that Swank Photo Studio along with Vintage Vixen’s was the right choice for her wedding day photography as well as for her special little something for him!

Caught you with the title, didn’t I? It’s not my newest ad campaign or promo, but my latest Vintage Vixen session. And in my eyes, she could be and is Miss January. My January shoot in April.

January came to me in quest of some stellar images to give to her honey for his birthday. He’s in construction so she came up with some fertile ideas equipped with a pink construction hat titled, “Inspectress” in which to take pictures. Too cute. We laughed hysterically as we posed her in front of the high-rise construction taking place at North Hills Mall. I don’t think the workers minded the view, but man, did it feel like we were doing something illegal! It was quite funny!

I also had some plans for her as I wanted to take advantage of her long and luxurious blonde locks. My one vision for her was to tease out her hair and befit her with a skull cap of some sort. We improvised with one of Donielle’s ( owner of Botanicals Medi-Spa in Clayton) Coach scarves. Coach ad, maybe????

Well, this was a Vintage Vixen first for me; party of 4. This gorgeous foursome came my way by the referral of Elaina, one of my Valentine’s Vintage Vixens. Elaina became a motivated advocate for my company sharing her album with her friends and associates and shortly after doing so had rounded up 4 of her co-workers to also pursue a Vintage Vixen’s session with me and also collected valuable Referral Rewards for these sessions.

And so they came last week . . . with their closets. No lie, they have more props than a costume store. They were prepared and I totally dug that about each one of them. We had a firefighter’s wife, a hunter’s girlfriend,a sweet little polka dot frock,  and one with a sporty jersey for a fresh look. And everything in between. 

The party was fun and lively. A little wine helped quell the nerves, but the girls quickly found that there was nothing to be nervous about. It was just plain old playtime.

These parties are fun! So gather up your friends. July promises a month chock full of vixens . . . .Hot! Hot! Hot! . Announcement to made shortly about the promo!

Well, Courtney came to meet me at the Forever bridal show interested in finding a wedding photographer, but we are told that we stopped her in her tracks as she was excited about the Vintage Vixens and professed that she had always wanted to do that.

Well, she did that! Had a sweet little session for her fiance. She was our winner of the bridal show Vintage Vixen session giveaway.

Her lovely, long locks and I mean long, were so cute when put into soft braids for a fun school girl look. Our session was nothing short of fun and laughter. She was extremely easy to work with, adventurous, and very much the girl next door.

A cancer survivor, shortly after her session, Courtney cropped her hair and donated those locks, to the Locks of Love.

Elaina is a super cute girl from Greensboro whom came to me this past fall for an engagement session with her fiance, Drake. Low and behold, she found my Valentine’s Day promo special and wanted to surprise Drake.

So once again we headed up to the palace otherwise known as the home of Donielle, the owner of Botanicals Medi-Spa in Clayton.

The day Elaina had signed up, we opted to go for a more high key feel, with glimmering beaded drapes, zebra pillows, and a flokati rug. We also used special glam lights from IKEA that we placed on the floor. 

Elaina was one easy chicky to work with. Everyone that comes before us always has a few moments of nerves, but once we get going, we laugh, we play, we have fun, that all dissipates. As you can see, she totally brought forward her sex appeal, although in my opinion, she didn’t have to do too much!!

What a great gift idea! Lauren approached me a few weeks ago wondering about squeezing in a Vintage Vixen session as a gift for her boyfriend for Christmas. I knew it would be tight and told her that I would do my best. Things didn’t pan out to be done on time, so I came up with a Peek-a-boo card. Essentially, it’s still something for her to present to her boyfriend for Christmas and in a nutshell it conveys that something special is on its way for him.

I might add too, that this session in particular was really nice. Lauren was full of confidence and just went for it! She was playful and fun and very sexy. Sure he’ll be thrilled with the pictures. Here are a few favs from our session together.
