I just had to share what one of my bride’s Brianna has shared with me on Wedding Wire. Her recent wedding at the Rock Ridge Club in Greenville was like no other! With 511 confirmed guests, it was a convention wedding! Band of OZ was there and what a party crowd they drummed up. It was a fun time. But it’s the comments/ compliments like the one below that are the most rewarding factor. Knowing that I am such an intricate part of someone’s life is such an honor. Thanks Brianna!

“Swank Photo Studio’s Stacy and her assistant, Lacey, were one of the best choices we made in selecting our wedding vendors! From day one, Stacy emitted this beautiful creative enthusiasm about me and my groom. She read our wedding website to familiarize herself with us and she did a perfect job of capturing our “fairy tale” wedding! Stacy also photographed my bridal portrait session, which turned out to be incredible. With her help, I felt that she captured the essence of me as a bride and created beautiful photographs of me in multiple settings in a magnificent outside park. On the wedding day, Stacy came early, stayed late, and has helped to re-tell the world “our story” of our special day in photograph. People are now re-living the event by seeing the pictures. What a rat race this session was and it had nothing to do with my bride. The nightclub we were supposed to have shot at had a full fledged fashion show going on where we were to shoot. Can you say major boo-boo on their part.

But nothing like a little challenge to throw my gears spinning. The resolution was easy. To hit one of the local parks at dusk. Light was falling off fast since we were originally scheduled to begin at 5:30. Thank goodness for daylight savings. It saved us.

Could this soon to be family get any cuter? I knew that I was in for more than an e-session when Jenny hired me for her pending August wedding at Preston Woodall House in Benson, NC. Having been proposed to by a scavenger hunt with messages in bottles, Jenny’s marrying a wonderful single father to two adorable boys and had asked for permission that they be included in the session with them. It was a no-brainer for me; of course! They’re just as much a part of who they are as a couple.

We had a fun early Spring frolic amongst the blossoming cherries, all the while, a playful demeanor coursed the whole session.

For a fun little play session. I had recently bought some new props from the one and only IKEA and I was anxious to play around a bit. Jenna’s a classic and pure joy to work with. She’s vintage and she’s a vixen. Below is a collection of my favorite images. Old Hollywood glam, eh? Yeah, she pulled it off.

A tremendous thank you to my studio neighbor, Jewel’s Formals on Third Street in Smithfield. They lent me two gorgeous gowns for the occasion. Much appreciated. And anyone looking for a totally glam gown, be sure to visit them.
